i haven't been here too long, but here's my 2 cent - 11/29/2019
We moved to Greeneville Tn. from southern Maine in Nov. 2019. We have driven through on our way to Nashville a year ago and thought it would be a relaxing place to restart our life after my cancer treatment and retirement. We lived in Maine in a small city that was quickly becoming overcrowded and welfare stricken and property taxes were getting out of hand. The countryside in Greeneville is nice and there are more shopping locations and gas stations than you can shake a stick at. Gas prices are about 30 cents a gallon cheaper than Maine, but beer is more expensive. Cable tv and internet service ran me $238.00 a month in maine and is now running me $118.00 a month in Greeneville for a better service.my property taxes for a 1100 sq. ft house on 1/2 acre that was built in 1887 was $3,000.00 per year.....now in Greeneville we have an 1050 sq. ft house on 1/2 acre, built in 1976 and the property taxes are $260.00 per year.......WHAAAAAAAAAT ??? I am ALSO
