Bandera isn't for everyone - 11/14/2020
A friend of mine moved to Bandera after buying a home. The town had good reviews mostly and was very pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately for my friend, Bandera is not warm to outsiders. She and her child were constantly harassed by drug users that refused to leave them alone. She tried to get help for a year from local police and her POA to no avail. While some of the community was nice to my friend, it was a very bad experience all the way around. I don't recommend Bandera for single parents. You must be like the people there or certain members of the community will harass you intensely and cause you problems daily. This reviewer says Bandera Texas is a place better left alone.
