Canyon Lake, TX. Country Living close to the city - 2/23/2017
A Comal County Sheriff deputy describes Canyon Lake like this: If you've ever heard the term "Head for the hills" when there's the threat of a disaster headed your way? Well, this place (Canyon Lake) is that place where you would be heading! Safe, clean, friendly, great climate (warm winters and warmer summers), beautiful scenery, rivers and the lake to play and fish, lots of wildlife to see. Very light traffic, but still only 20 - 30 minutes to New Braunfels, San Marcos if you like to shop or you like driving in traffic. San Antonio is only about 45 minutes away if you want the feel of the "BIG CITY" or you need to have a big night out on the town.

OK, now the part that's LESS THAN PERFECT about Canyon Lake. If you have an allergy to tree pollen, Mountain Cedar (actually Ashe Juniper), Mulberry, Ash, etc, etc, you may need to get allergy medication to live around Canyon Lake.
