Crime Prevention in De Kalb - 3/23/2013
After living in De Kalb area for 5 yrs. I am convinced that the sheriff dept and Bowie Co. Police Dept. don't pursue crimes. People in this area are known for drugs & theft. A case has been put together on several people including teens who need jail time. After listening to some parents of the repeating offenders say that police will not come out and take my son/daughter & make the do the time for the crime. I am convinced this town is like the "wild, wild west" yet. I am selling out and getting out of this area for good. My property has been vandalized several times and not one sheriff will do anything about the same offenders. It is a sorry area to try to be safe in.
