Beautiful historic town - 1/24/2018
Gainesville is just south of the Red River. It has charming historic downtown with retail and restaurants. A beautiful court house is in the center. Visit during business hours so you can see the stain glass in the courthouse. Check out Morton Museum downtown and find out why Gainesville was called "circus town" between 1930-1955. Crazy cool story! Take a walking trip through Frank Buck Zoo. A beautiful zoo, nicely landscaped, complete with a suspended walkway through the Africa exhibit.
