Something for Everyone - 2/3/2017
My family represents every major ethnic background and we have no issues here. The cost of living is about 10% higher than some of the other areas in everything but utilities, which is 35% cheaper. We have lived here for 3 years on both the east and west sides. It is a 25 minute commute to North Central Austin. People keep to themselves and maintain there properties. The town has Southern Charm without crime and non of the racism you experience in liberal cities. Men hold the door for ladies. Homeless people are not on the corners and everyone is civilized. It's a great place to raise a family. You need to make a combined income of 75k to make ends meet and 125k to live comfortably with a family of 5. Schools are good, but there are currently a lot of changes because of the population growth. The only downsides here are no organic restaurants, but great Farmer's Market and some of the weirdos from Austin have moved in. It is a wonderful place to raise a family and to call home. Read More
