4.5 miles eather way>>> - 5/16/2010
Yes, 76058 pays lower taxes>>> but at what cost?... I have to travel 4 1/2 miles in eather direction to go to a reasonably priced store, gas station, bank, etc. Yes, taxes are lower, but, what is wrong with economic growth. Everyone whats to build up Cleburne. And, Burleson, is building like crazy, but what about Joshua. We, the citizens can't even get a Traffic light in on CR 1010 & 917 West.Where cars and Trucks travel 60,70 & even 80 MPH.
So,where are our Stores,Banks, Gas Stations, Coffee Shops coming to town here. Start buying, some of this "PRIME ACRES", and help bring our town up to par, abit, too! We also, have needs, as a Town.
Putting a "Nice" Park in Town, just doesn't do it! People living out in the Rural Areas have needs, too. So, it's time to look to the West abit. And, bring some of the comforts of home into our area.Like: An Adult Day Care Center, and Phamacy's, and Gas Stations.
Why do "we", need to travel 20 miles at night, to get a Rx. for our family Read More

Dog Pound???? - 5/16/2010
Where is 76058's Dog Pound? Education to Spay and Neuture at low cost, to help families care well, for their animals. Strays with mange, hungry, cold and injured animals is NOT exceptable; not now, not ever...Considering we have a Population of over 20K folks living here, which most, have animals, of one kind or another!
We here in the Johnson County area 76058, are told, "sorry we don't have one available"! And, Pounds or area hospitals won't care for animals which are shot or injured, no less sick! So, next to a bullet in the head, what choices are there? For the animals and their owners!
It's time for 76058's taxes to be put to good use! Besides re-doing roads ,again and again over & over ...Use some of the monies to build us, a Pound! Citizens can only do so much! I know,I feed 6-7 dogs and cats daily ,just so these strays can live life!We need help, from the County, and local"Joshua" areas, Read More

Senior Citizen "Adult Day Care " - 5/16/2010
I've lived here in Zip 76058 Joshua,TX, Johnson County POP +20K,for almost 4 years. Elderly and/or,Disabled family members living at home, can not find some type of Adult Day Care provided for families to help care for their family members.Yet, Arlington, Burleson and parts North have tons! We here in the 76058, may not be able to work outside of the home. Which, means the over all economic growth of the town suffers.Yes, we pay lower taxes, but at the same time, receive much less Services from State and Local entities. Families here, are left with only one of two options, A Nursing Home; which for most ,is no option at all, or give up your job, stay home, and become a full time caregiver... Peoples in Johnson County, who would like to work can not!Which, means less revenue being brought in, and neighborhoods falling down, lower taxes, junk cars, property valued depreciating, etc. Because, one needs to be caregiver, and a stay at home, One, at that! So, what if anything, is the Gov. Read More
