Des Moines, "if you're 70yr old, its still boring" - 10/20/2019
Heh.. they're are literally no arts and 0 culture. in 2019, the older generation (like 70+ ) seems to be priority. The city officials are so old, boring, and selfish they've gotten rid of anything remotely cool. Parades are now gone. waterline festival gone, public boat launch gone, fireworks = banned. opening up a business there is HARD and 90% fail. The only grocery store in Des Moines went out of business and now a Dollar Tree is the only thing that survives.. Yikes. What does that tell you? They charge money to visit all the parks now days.. Grew up here, moved around a lot, and visit my parents who still live there. There are cool houses and property especially along the water, but as soon as you head east (to PAC highway) it gets sketchy. Anybody disagree? don't worry, I'll wait..Read More
