Tukwila is a sort off unsafe middle ground location with most basic city things.
Tukwila is sort of big. Some places suck, some are ok. I wouldn't be caught dead living near PAC highway (hookers, violence ect) but if you're looking into buying a house you can find some tucked away gems for sure. And if you have to.. apartments near PAC highway are affordable. There are a lot of residential spots and then some industrial spots and shopping areas too. Little bit of everything. 15 mins outside of downtown Seattle w/ no traffic. light rail is available (and buses) but they take forever (like, way longer than if you were to drive). Could potentially be a 1 hr drive to Seattle if its morning commute time.
