Good place to retire. Walkable. Young people. Buses. Sidewalks. Feel safe here in Whitehall neighborhood. Plenty to do. Taxes in ny are high,but you get what you pay  More

Definitely a tourist area. Not a good place to raise kids! Schools are terrible. Decent amount of crime, nothing too extreme. High accident rate. Dear god do NOT drive  More

I have visited this area and it is very nice. I am thinking of longer stays. The only thing I find troubling is the lower end rating for water in this area in general.  More
