Yikes, this is one of those places that used to have sundown town policies in place well into the 20th century. Welcome to the conservative, baptist South.  More

Ashamed of Jonesboro! I was born and raised there back in the late 70's and 80's We never heard of killings, not much of drugs, we were able to play outside, Nettleton  More

Boone and the High Country's climate is unique to North Carolina and the Southeast. It's cool summers and snowy winters are much more comparable to places much farther  More

The area is beautiful - living in the Blue Ridge Mountains is gorgeous. But .. the views don't pay the bills. Housing is overpriced. You are better off living  More
