Located in the northern part of Minnesota, the small town of Roseau has seen a rise in violent crime in recent years. According to statistics, the town's violent crime rate stands at 6.9, which is significantly lower than the national average of 22.7. However, this number is still alarming for the close-knit community of Roseau. Along with the increase in violent crime, there has also been a slight uptick in property crime, with a rate of 33.7 compared to the national average of 35.4. Despite these numbers, Roseau remains a relatively safe town, but the community is taking steps to address and prevent any further crime. As a resident of Roseau, it is concerning to see these numbers on the rise, but I have faith in the town's law enforcement and community members to work together to maintain the safety and well-being of our town.
