Terra Alta, West Virginia may be a small town, but it still faces its fair share of crime. According to recent statistics, the violent crime rate in Terra Alta is 8, much lower than the national average of 22.7. However, the property crime rate is higher at 9.8 compared to the national average of 35.4. As a resident of Terra Alta, I am both relieved and concerned by these numbers. On one hand, it is reassuring to know that our town is relatively safe from violent crimes. On the other hand, the higher property crime rate reminds us to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect our belongings. Despite these statistics, I believe that Terra Alta remains a close-knit community where neighbors look out for each other, and together, we can continue to keep our town a safe and peaceful place to live.
