A great town but getting to expensive - 5/2/2008
I love Jasper and have lived here 28 years but we are considering a move in the near future. The cost of living and the cost of buying a home here plus the taxes are just getting out of control. We have had a burst of growth the last several years and everyone that is wanting to getting out of Atlanta to come to a small town has caused the traffic to become the worst it's ever been, we have liquor stores and drug stores on every corner but we don't even have a Wal Mart! We are stuck between being a large city and a small town.
