I've lived in Socorro all of my life (33 yrs). I've seen it all! The Good, the bad, and the ugly. This city has alot of potential, we just need a successful government. The government we have really sucks. We need tourism in this City to have a better economy. Our City Representatives and memebers of the government our too stingy to give tax breaks to companies wanting to invest in our City. Yet, we some of the highest taxes in the nation.

Cost Of Living is Cheap - 12/20/2008
You get what you pay for. Our roads look like you drov into Mexico. Taxes are higher than any city in Texas.
