Declining tourist area - 9/6/2006
I'm told this area is better thought of by those who've visited than those who live here. There are many nice areas and friendly people. As everywhere, I guess, there is always a chance for us to make it better. I love many things about the area and currently wish for shorter winters. The variety of waterways is hard to beat, loads of trees and some hills to vary the landscape. Transportation is good, the economy variable and the health factors improving.
