Its all in the attitude! -
2/13/2010I have to say, we moved here so my husband could finish school and it has been a very pleasant place to live! The cost of living can't be beat and with a growing natural gas business, I foresee this place really growing in the next few years. People here are family-oriented, for the most part. The downtown has some nice places and there is a growing artistic community. It is true you will not find the 'big city' options, if that is what you are looking for, but I have personally found it a great place to be for this season of life! I lump myself in with those who are hopeful for Williamsport and see it growing and changing for the better...
There are plenty of outdoor things to do if you like hiking, hunting or fishing and we're within driving distance of some bigger cities. We have lived in Phoenix, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Lancaster, so, those are places I compare it to and I appreciate the small town feel. Plus, it has Wegmans and I love it...and will miss it if we move away...
