Cronyism at it's best to keep a community down -
1/29/2018Beware of this community. The mayor has held office for over 30 years and has no intentions of letting go of the title along with the city council. As a resident of SWMI and a home owner in the area I will warn you that there are a half dozen other communities in the area that are more progressive, featuring a better economic outlook than Dowagiac.
Honestly, if your evaluating this town as somewhere to live beware: No mufflers on 1/2 the populations cars, roving bands of children with no parental supervision, 35 minutes to any major highway, and severe blight issues.
The pro's of this area: super affordable. I can't think of any others.
