Old Saybrook, CT

Quality of Life - 12/20/2009
If you're looking for an area that is near the ocean, then Old Saybrook is the place to go! Located right along the Connecticut shoreline, it has many things to offer, including a mini-golf course at the Dock and Dine restaurant. It also has a public beach (good for anyone with children, looking for something to do during the summer), as well as many seafood restaurants. The crime rate here is pretty low, although traffic in Old Saybrook can be extremely heavy and challenging at times (especially summertime.) The downside about living in Old Saybrook is that the cost of living is quite expensive, so anyone considering living in this town should be prepared to spend a little money. The schools in Old Saybrook seem to be pretty decent. Anyone who currently lives out of state or town and is looking for a place to spend their vacation, Old Saybrook is the perfect place to be.

Bristol, CT

Quality of Life - 12/20/2009
Bristol, in a way can be deceiving. The schools in Bristol seem to be pretty decent, and it also features a park for children and their parents. In addition, it features a public swimming pool, with a small admission fee. As many might already know, it is also home to Lake Compounce, which, in my opinion, is an amazing theme park. It is a lot cheaper than some other amusement parks I've been to, and is just as good as the other parks I've been to. Although traffic can be extremely heavy at times, Bristol doesn't seem like too bad of a place to go, but as in any city, the crime rate varies depending upon the neighborhood.

Colchester, CT

Life in Colchester - 12/20/2009
Colchester to me is a perfect place to live. Although it is about a 30 minute drive to most stores, it has a lot to offer, and especially if you have children. There is a playground that is open to the public, and is free. The schools here are pretty good, and have a lot of programs to offer. It is a very peaceful town, with very low crime, and not a lot of noise. If you are looking for a town that is peaceful, quiet, and not rambunctious, then Colchester is the place to live.
