A great little city -
3/6/2023I've lived in Huntington most of my life. Yes, there have been many changes over the years, not all good, but it is a great place to live. Huntington won the best small city in the Nation just a couple of years ago. There are abundant outdoor activities, a beautiful park and walking trail that runs along a steam (complete with ducks during the Spring & Summer months), a civic center that brings in concerts and events and Marshall University has various events and sports throughout the year. There are actually many job opportunities within 20-50 miles of the city if few exist in the downtown region and the residents for the most part are friendly and accepting. I'm sorry to hear some people have had bad experiences here, but I have done extensive traveling around the country, and I'm always happy to return to Huntington.
