11/1/2012Having lived here most of my life, I hate to say I agree to a great degree. There are good things here but there is a certain degree of smugness that can be overbearing. If Denver isn't a cow town some of its leaders certainly seem like they come from one. Blasphemy of blasphemies I do concede that John Elway, Peyton Manning, and The Broncos could vanish and I would shed no tears. Denver has improved tremendously but San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle are real cities. Denver, with all of its good qualities, just isn't in the same league.

Better Than Some Cities in Some Respects -
10/31/2012Overall Denver, CO is OK. It is still a cow town, albeit one now all dressed up but really nowhere to go. The arts have been cultivated seriously over the last two decades and much of the city has been greatly improved. For me though, the amount of sun is excessive and the summers are getting really way too hot. Some of this may be global warming, some of it is the number of people here and the amount of concrete/asphalt that has been increased.
