Nogales, AZ
It's okay but has potential to improve -
7/23/2021Nogales is an excellent town to live in if you speak fluent Spanish and are a Freelancer with a decent income. It is not the kind of town where you'd want to raise a family unless you're financially stable and highly educated. If you can afford to buy a home in Nogales, then lucky you! There are a few beautiful old historical houses in town. Nogales does not have a bad quality of life but it does not have a great one either. It has its pros and cons like every other city and town. I love the culture in Nogales but it's a town that has few growth opportunities and jobs can be scarce. Public Education in town is below average and you'd be better off sending your children to a private school or a catholic academy. They have those in town too. Nogales, Arizona is quite safe and if you google Nogales you'll realize those rates are for Nogales, Sonora, and NOT Nogales, Arizona.
Pros
- Very safe town despite rates showing the above-average crime rate
- Beautiful old historical places
- Easy to cycle and walk from point A to point B
Cons
- Bad Schools
- Most neighborhood streets are in bad condition
- Poor community involment, not much infrastructure or development
- Little to no jobs
- No diversity
