12/3/2012Wow. Anger a plenty. Here's how i see this. Take it or leave it, my opinion is just that. Mine. I am a born and sometimes raised proud as hell San Antonian. My father was military so after a tour, we always came back. I am now 35 with a family of my own, living in Utah. ( oh help) . Lamaud may be right on only some things. Yes SA is dirty, what large, mass city isnt? You want to point fingers at a specific race, do so if it makes you feel better. I am mexican with pale skin and red hair and proud of it. My gramdmother moved here more than 60 yrs ago put herself through nursing school and made a life. So many people want to point errors. What about SA'S beauty? Fun? Seaworld, fiesta texas, the rich history of the alamo and downtown trolley? I've been homesick for the wonderful southern life again, my husband & i r moving back in summer. I've been gone too long. You can love or hate where u live. U have that choice. But don't ruin it for others. Yes SA is full of crime. Its not the city, its the world thats messed up. Don't love it? Leave it. As for me, i say... American by birth, Texan by the Grace of God.
