Centreville, VA

Traffic Nightmare - 7/24/2007
I lived in Centreville for 3-4 years. I have also lived in Annandale, Alexandria and Arlington. Centreville is a nice area with newer homes but the traffic getting into Arlington or DC is terrible. The area is ethnically diverse which I view as great attribute however due to language and cultural barriers it makes it hard to know your nieghbors. It would take me 60-90 minutes to commute 23 miles. Thats at least 2 hours and usually more a day in the car commuting! I lived in a nieghborhood where people spent so much time commuting that you never saw them. Public transportation is available but it doesn't save you anytime in commuting.
