7/16/2020I moved here 20 years ago with a young daughter. Its not easy living rural alone, especially when you're not familiar with people. If you break down, you must have roadside service. Being newly widowed you will want to make new friends, and join people doing activities you enjoy. I have met people of all walks of life in Klamath county, some friendly and some not so friendly. But there are tough independent types living here, and they have jobs, families and property to keep up and attend to. And, family is #1 when they have down time. If you already have a friend(s) living somewhere, that is where I would move, where you have someone you can depend upon when you need them. Being new to being alone is hard enough, let alone figuring out how to manage all what your other half use to do for you, that you now have to do yourself.
