Moving to Sacramento Metro Area- Consider - 9/13/2021
Growing up here this was a highly conservative area. While the map shows only 52% voted republican, they are a very outspoken 52%. Growing up in the 2000s here I was exposed to outright racism, extreme homophobia (gay kids beat up in the bathroom), and religious extremism-you will literally be shunned if you are not apart of the mega church...oh not to mention the HS principal at the time did prayer at the flag during lunch. The schools itself are strong but hyper competitive and extremely stressful for young people. Food and culture are also lacking for the area. Looks good on paper but not great in real life. Be prepared for cold winters, three months of good weather and then triple digits and fires.
