New Prague, MN
Standard of living in Czec town -
3/19/2014New Prague is a friendly, upper-middle class town that is not a direct suburb of the Twin Cities but close enough to them that we can easily take advantage of all the culture and amenities that they offer...but without the congestion. We just jump on 35w and we are in the heart of high-rises, museums, and ultimate shopping in 30 minutes. The town has Germanic-Czec heritage...translation...clean and well maintained. The people are very civic minded, physically active, and focused on education. This is a great place to raise a family. Having said that, it is in Minnesota...cold, sunny (mostly) even in the winter, but expect snowfall...a lot. Invest in a snow blower, snowmobile, and a speed boat for summer fun on the water...after-all this is the 'land of 10,000 lakes'...which is really 12,000!
