A great Place to Live or Visit -
6/6/2014I live on North Padre Island in Corpus Christi. The cost of living is great, the climate is wonderful year round. Allergies are few and short lived (grasses) There are lots of recreational things to do. The National Seashore, rated 2nd best beach in the world, fishing year round, ample places nearby for deer, turkey, bird hunting within 1-2 hours plus all conveniences of a large city, just 3 miles over the bridge to the mainland. We have the Naval Air Station , Air Defense base and the Coast Guard right here across the bay. Texas AM Corpus Christi is here and a world class University attracting students for across the country and world. Unemployment is low, but lots of opportunity as the Oil and Gas business booms in south Texas. Having lived in DFW, Central Oregon, Roswell, N, M, and growing up on the Island of St. Croix, USVI, Corpus Christi offers a little bit of everything I loved about all those regions.
