3/8/2008I hear you on the taxes but don't you pay for what you get? I've visited Omaha several times and I like it. I currently live in the Gulf Coast. The region is unkempt, high crime, expensive housing, poor education, on and on...one more thing, HURRICANES! Omaha has it's negatives too, harsh winters and taxes. My point, it depends on what your willing to deal with. I love the Gulf Coast it has beatiful waters, nice weather and seafood but when I think about safety I will pay those taxes anyday. Katrina has changed my mind, in due time I am heading north.

5/6/2007What are your first thoughts when hear you Biloxi? It's still true, probably even worse. Katrina killed a city that was tolerable. Now, rebuilding is slow, crime is raising and education is on the back burner. But hopefully all of the Katrina funds can fix this place. Pre-Katrina I liked it but would not live here permanently. Permanent residents are resistant to visitors definitely a good ol' boy mentality.

5/6/2007Easily the worst city in the world. People are rude, racist and very cold (so cold the state made it illegal to pass a stranded motorist). Don't move here, period, I lived here for 6 years and hated every minute of it.
