6/8/2010Beware of thinking your taxes are low in Texas by not having a state income tax. In San Antonio you pay almost 3% of the full value of your home for property taxes. Money Magazine listed San Antonio, Texas as the fourth highest property tax in the nation. If you calculate the property taxes in San Antonio compared to most states state income tax, you are paying a lot more money. Why? Someone has to pay for the illegals and San Antonio is loaded with them.

6/8/2010We lived in Texas our entire lives and 25 years in San Antonio/Mexico. Every single thing you said was 100% accurate. We had to move away from Texas which is a place we used to love. If anyone wants to see the truth about San Antonio, just read www.mysa.com each day and look on that website for "crimebase" which will show you all the crimes taking place each day. It is a scary, scary place. There was an article released 5/2009 and the FBI rated San Antonio as the highest crime in the nation. Worse than Detroit. Live it and believe it because it is true. We were car jacked 2 times, had our house broken into 3 times in Sonterra and had 2 cars stolen. That is a lot in a short lifetime. Scary, scary place.

4/9/2008A Reply to Juan who sad we were racist. The problem with Mexicans is they always claim everything is racism. If they don't like what someone says, it is racism. Well, you Mexicans are the ones that are racist. We lived our entire lives in San Antonio and were treated badly and talked about in Spanish behind our backs. We decided to leave San Antonio to get away from RACISM and that was the #1 reason. If you can read the details, Texas has some issues with high property taxes that other states do not have. That too was a major issue. But us leaving had nothing to do with us being Racist. It honestly sounds that you, Juan, are again, the reason we left San Antonio. We owned many large retail stores and were treated like dogs by the Hispanics. We were discriminated against. But we don't just sit and complain, we leave and start a new life in a better place which is anywhere but San Antonio. We have at least 15 other couples from our church that left for the identical reason.

1/1/2008My husband and I lived our entire lives in San Antonio. We moved 4/2007 to East Tennessee (Knoxville) where it is 98% white and pure Heaven. The people are so nice on the road and anywhere. We completely hate, HATE, HATE San Antonio and told our parents unless they are seriously ill or dead, we will not be back. San Antonio gives you the baddest attitude of all places. I have been to 40 states out of 50 in the US. No place is as bad as San Antonio except, Miami, New York city and downtown Chicago. Many say southern California too. Arizona changed their laws to get rid of all the illegals (SMART STATE). San Antonio is a hell hole. We owned a $600K house and paid $16K in property taxes. Here in Knoxville our taxes are $1,800, honestly. No state income tax either. In San Antonio you are paying for all the illegals and lowlife Mexicans. Sorry, but we got tired of paying. Thank you Dear Lord for another city to live. Once you move, everyone tells us in the rest of the country that that is Little Mexico and how did we get our visas to leave the country. Texas SUCKS. Good luck everyone living with all the MEXICANS. Why they do not build the fence along the Oklahoma border and give Texas and New Mexico back to the country of Mexico, I do not know. It is happening all by itself.
