Unwelcoming locals. - 8/3/2023
I have lived here for 4 years. Though I love the beauty of the mountain and the surrounding wilderness, I find Mount Shasta very difficult to live in. Food is about 20% higher, and "The Locals" are vocal about newbies which they label, "Flat-landers." Mount Shasta is not an easy community to get into until you have been here for over a decade.
