Colorado's Best Kept Secret -
3/24/2021I lived on the Front Range in Colorado for more than 8 years. As we watched the crowds, traffic and beautiful places increase in population and traffic we felt the desire to have a less stressful life. Rangely has been perfect. The Town is small and there is not a ton of retail, although we do have a grocery store, True Value, 5 restaurants, a flower shop, our very own Hobby Lobby type store (Sweetbriar), CPA Firm, hotels and camping parks, in the way of retail. Rangely is also home to Colorado Northwestern Community College and local high school students can graduate with their high school diploma and an Associate Degree at CNCC at the same time, at no cost. Residents can also attend the college tuition free. Super cool! We enjoy the college sports teams as well. They have an amazing Rec Center, with fewer crowds, a wonderful hospital and the schools are loaded with the latest and greatest equipment and the class room ratios are incredible. Rangely is surrounded by outdoor fun, whether on the water or land. If you like the arts, you will love the TANK! Check it out! They have an auto museum that is second to none. The dark skies for skygazing are incredible. A great place to be! They have 1gb fiber-optic internet service for $70 a month. Working remote is a definite option. The residents are friendly and welcoming. This place is definitely a well kept secret.
