I have lived in Sonoma and Napa county most of my life, but recently moved to Tennessee to be closer to my wife's family, but we hate it here and are trying to get back. I enjoy the Sonoma County area because of the diversity of recreation (hiking, bicycling, auto racing,surfing, skiing etc.) that surrounds you all within hours or less.

perfect weather - 3/3/2008
You enjoy mild winters, cool nights during spring, summer and fall with temperatures warming up to the 80's and 90's during the day. With the local coastal fog this keeps temperatures moderate, but it also acts like am air conditioner on those warm summer nights. With the ocean breeze this helps to keep smog levels low, with very many clear sunny days and views of the mountains.
