Nursing profession in Austin - 7/17/2005
The pay for registered nurses in horrible due to the fact that there are only two separate hospital systems competing against one another. The cost of living is extremely high when compared to the rest of the state and the hospitals are not willing to pay. The pay is actually lower when compared to statewide in Texas.
