6/13/2018TRAFFIC has become a serious problem. The I 95 GA(104) interchange gridlocks several times a day. The TANSER OUTLET MALL and shopping/ Business Park needs its own interstate connection to relieve the Congestion it causes on the Pooler Parkway. I've spent 30 to 45 minutes in gridlock traffic going to the airport and/or the Savannah TECH. Pooler Campus for class. I now avoid that area when ever possible.
The Savannah Hospitals are expanding their services by building outpatient and overnight hospitals near the I 16, Pooler Parkway interchange. A new business park adjacent to that intersection is seriously adding to the Pooler Parkway (4 lane w/boulevard) connection problems to the 2 country lane Quacco Road. ALSO there is NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. The Pooler electorate has refused to allow the Chatham Area Transit to connect to Savannah to Pooler. Public commuter transportation would help relieve some of this problem.
The Pooler parkway needs to be extended to the I 95 Bridge over pass. Making that the choke point between the parkway and the 3 lane Quacco Road Expansion the county is starting this year from US 17 to the over pass bridge.
Despite all these growing pains - it is still cooler to live in Pooler..
