4/24/2021Fowler/Fletcher area is definitely ghetto. I think the school is technically on the top edge of the city of Tampa but this review probably belongs in the Temple Terrace section lol... Downtown Tampa is actually very clean and well maintained compared to other large cities I’ve been to.

4/24/2021@Ed ^ isn’t that the case for anywhere in the world? Tell me what city is paradise compared to Tampa for “people on the lower rungs of the economic ladder”? Tampa has a lower cost of living compared to most other large metropolitan areas - and better weather so not sure what your points is. I 100% agree with OP (Mark)!

4/24/2021Sounds like you didn’t even live in Tampa. Downtown an hour away? Were you in Land O Lakes or Lakeland aka the middle of nowhere? Lol even when I lived in Brandon, a suburb just outside of Tampa, it was only 15 min to get to downtown Tampa. I now live in actual Tampa (Channelside) and I drive my car only a handful of times a month (usually just for large grocery trips when it’s too many bags to carry all of two blocks) - and I always use my own bags. If I forget them, I get looks of disapproval lol... I mostly walk, ride my bike, or take the free trolly. The Riverwalk, Sparkmans Warf, Armature Works, and tons of great restaurants and breweries are all fantastic and well within walking distance.
The only thing I agree with is the heat in the summer. It does get hot as balls but I’ll take 2-3 sweltering months instead of 80% of the year dealing with snow (looking at you Denver, CO! Lol).
You probably shouldn’t review a city if you never actually lived there. If “Tampa” wasn’t a part of your home address, you have no say. It sounds like you weren’t even in Hillsborough County. Your profile says Land O Lakes which is Pasco County. Definitely not Tampa!
