The NE area is the safest in albq. However, when looking for a place to live,in that area, keep in mind that the NE area covers several square miles, and not every area in the NE is good. Furthermore, when moving here, be aware that New Mexico truly is like no other state in the Union,the standards are different across the board.

12/13/2005I am originaly from France. I am attending The University of New Mexico. Albuquerque is extremely unsafe. Anywhere! There is an enourmous amount of crime, litering, drunk driving and vandalism. There is not one day that goes by without at least one of those things affecting someone I know. I avoid going out, period.
