Life in the "NEW" Lehigh Valley -
2/25/2019The Lehigh Valley has grown considerably in the last 10 to 20 years. There are seven 4-year colleges and 2 junior colleges providing excellent educational opportunities. HIgh growth in the medical field with beautiful facilities springing up everywhere. For arts and entertainment, there is the Zoellner Center at Lehigh University, Williams Center for the Arts at Lafayette College in Easton, the Shakespeare Festival at DeSales in Center Valley, Symphony Hall and an Art Museum in Allentown. The Bethlehem Steel complex now has concerts, two skating rinks, movies; a new shopping area; workout gym; restaurants; and a casino. The Promenade Shops, an outdoor mall, has beautiful restaurants and a high quality food store, a pavilion with fireplace, and summer concerts. There are wonderful restaurants all over the valley and beautiful country clubs including Saucon Valley, Lehigh and Northampton. Nearby skiing at two areas, a lake 20 minutes to the south, and the Poconos about an hour to the north. Flying into and out of the ABE International airport make travel a more relaxing experience than using larger major airports.
With clean air, beautiful landscape, lovely new housing developments, good schools, and easy highway commutes, the Lehigh Valley a good place to live, work and raise families.
