I put my plan of escape into action

Sorry for your bad experiences in Atlanta. I’m originally from Atlanta and you’ve got to remember that the majority of the people living here are transplants like yourself. They brought that unfriendly vibe here to this southern state. We were doing quite fine until everybody started rushing down here to live and now everyone’s complaining about the city. I would strongly suggest that everyone planking to relocate to Atlanta to do their homework. It’s terrible here. Crime, crowded secondary streets, crowded highways, road rage incidences resulting in shooting at cars, serious gang problem, home prices skyrocketed, and it’s crowded everywhere you go. I’m from here and I now hate Atlanta. The quality of life here has dropped significantly. People from Chicago, NY, and Maryland, drives straight past Charlotte to Atlanta. Why don’t people move to other southern cities? I heard Huntsville was nice and North Carolina has several small towns. But for some reason I see plenty of Texas, Alabama, Florida, NY, NJ, Illinois, and Virginia license plates daily. Go somewhere else! ATLANTA IS FULL!!

Losing it’s quality

This person is telling it like it is…..I’m an native Atlanta and I’m tired of the ever growing population growth here. This city will soon be miserable to live in such as the cities people are moving from. Atlanta has a serious gang issue, traffic problems, the housing is no longer affordable for “regular” people. Investors from other states are moving here, buying real estate and selling high. A million dollar home used to get you a huge home with plenty of acreage in an exclusive part of town. Now they’re selling homes in “the hood” that investors are listing for over a mil with hardly no acreage and the surrounding homes look like crap. Wish I could move too but buying another home with the supply and demand right now is scary and expensive.

Atlanta is a no no

They are steady moving here and the quality of life in Atlanta is quickly changing. I’m native Atlantan and I see people are more in a hurry all of the time the way they drive. Horns blowing in cars, road rage shootings because people get stressed that they’re sitting in traffic all of the time but it’s only going to get worst. They will never be able to keep expanding our major highways to accommodate the sharp by population increases. I will never get used to the overcrowded Atlanta. Crime is more now sophisticated here plus we have a serious gang problem. I wish that I was from a small town; I would definitely move back there. But unfortunately I was born and raised in Atlanta and this is where I’m from. Plus, I wouldn’t dare sell my home and try buying another one. Inventory is too low and prices are sick. Looks like I’m stuck in a declining city. So much for the Atlanta use to be know as a city with “southern hospitality.” That’s long gone. It’s now a typical “cold” spirited city.
