Nicest suburb in the Portland Metro Area! -
12/30/2021Beaverton is a great place to live and raise a family. It's gotten much more expensive and much more congested, but so has the rest of the country. Overall, it's still far better than most places, and its location between Portland and the Oregon Coast could not be better. It rains a lot, but that's why it's so green. The naysayers here just need to get a grip and travel around a bit, to appreciate what Beaverton still has to offer.

12/18/2021This is a wonderful comment, and you've put Las Cruces on my list of places to consider. Any city that can produce a writer like you deserves credit. Some of the things you mentioned are not unique to Las Cruces or even New Mexico, but part of a much larger decline of the middle class across America since January 20, 1981.
