Think carefully before moving here! -
8/18/2018I moved to Clark Fork in 1997 and lived there for 8 years. On the positive side, it is beautiful and the High School is very good, My son did well there.Lots of backroads to explore. On the negative side, there are racists in North Idaho including Clark Fork. Law Enforcement is spotty there and is corrupt. It's 30 minutes to Sandpoint for basic shopping and 90 minutes to Spokane for better shopping. I have a home based business, on line, no customers coming to my house but the City tried to 'ban' me from having my own internet business! High speed internet is over sold, slow and often does not work in Clark Fork. Internet providers have terrible customer service. They don't care. Winters are terrible.
