On a positive note, can someone who lives there tell me if the cost of living can match the wages? Is it affordable and how is the education system there? The crime rate also concerns me what is the crime that plagues Austin?

1/30/2006I live in Concord and I couldnt imagine living in Manchester it is unattractive old mill city high crime, high housing cost (because of being close to Massachusetts) and not worth the money. Concord is better, but the cost of housing is still steep. There are no state tax, but trust me, you pay for it in other ways such as rediculous property taxes.

I lived in Colorado for 10 years then moved back to NE were I grew up but it is too expensive to live here now. Would like to buy a house close to the real value. My daughter of 24 lives in austin now and says I should come to live most people are in there twenties I am single and in my 40s is this city too young for me? I like arts and culture and nice weather.
