9/2/2019We lived in 3 other states before moving to Dunedin which has been almost 10 years now. All I can say, is do your homework. Florida is not as cheap to live in as you think. What do you like to do? We love riding our bikes on the Pinellas Trail, sitting outside and gardening all year long and being off the beaten path. Plus, Dunedin's proximity to the water and spring training is a bonus. Don't have the traffic of Clearwater Beach, St Pete and Tampa. Our neighborhood is smaller and everyone gets along. We are not located in a flood or evacuation zone. We were surprised by the Dunedin bump in real estate but our home has appreciated since buying it. There is always something going on downtown or at Highlander Park which gives the town a sense of community which you don't see much these days. We can ride our bikes there or walk. Every town and state has pros and cons. There has been some approved townhouses built downtown lately which the locals are not crazy about and we'll see how that progresses with the town leaders. Be smart before you move here. Decide what you like and what you are willing to live with. Research your neighborhood. We think we made a great choice!
