11/11/2008I have also spent time in DHS at the Palm Springs Spa and I have never been approached by vagrants. I would say try not to stay right in the heart of town, but mainly I would reassure you that DHS is undergoing a massive reviatlaization effort and they are working really hard to change it. I personally am thinknig of buying a house right in the HEART of DHS and I will stay there. Because I believe that ARTISTS SHOULD coME HERE. IT'S CHEAP AND VERY PEACEFUL> sO LET'S HOPE WE CAN CHANGE THE POOR ECONOMY HERE.

10/17/2008I own a house in DS and it is a near perfect place to live. It is cheap, it is quiet and it is close to Las Vegas. It's not hot, as we are high above the AZ cities. There is very little crime. If we had a bus that commuted over the canyon, it would be perfect. We are getting a bridge over the canyon to Las Vegas and I imagine that in the next year we will be besidged by specuators even in this economy. Residents look here. It is divine! I've lived in L.A. and many othe places. This is paradise.
