8/16/2006I moved here six years ago when I retired, so I can't speak to employment. But.... Housing is reasonable. Utilities are reasonable. Getting a plumber or carpenter when needed is actually possible. It is even safe to walk the dog at night. There are many restaurants. There are two golf courses. The Ohio riverfront has been developed into a lovely place to walk or sit. There are town festivals spaced throughout the year that attract residents, artisans, artists, and tourists from all the surrounding areas. July was racing on the river. Coming up is our August Ribberfest--three days of the best barbecue around. Then in September is the Chautauqua, and so on. For urban shopping, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis are each about an hour and a half away. Really a great all-round place with things to do and places to go.
