4/27/2008We have 2 grocery stores that are about 1/3 higher than our neighboring town. Currently there are approximately 100 homes on the market and they are moving very slowly.
We have 1 new motel that is going in, but other than fast food places and minimum wage jobs (or below) the only jobs around here are in feedlots.
Rent is fairly reasonable, if you can find employment in town. If not, you can drive 35 miles south to Garden City and work there are generaly $10 per hour.
Scott City is a fairly clean town with a newly redesigned "beautiful" high school.
