Newly arrivied in Rancho Mirage -
5/4/2008We chose Rancho Mirage for its centrality in the Inland Empire. With a populaltion under 20,000, it has a small community feel. However, it is surrounded by some 300,000, which provides easy access to a 1000+ cultural centre, three major hospitals, unlimited shopping with a range from K Mart to ultra chic, an airport with daily service to major cities East and West, spectacular desert scenary and a year round dry climate. We had been coming to the area for 30 years before finally spending time here in August (the worst month) to ascertain whether we could stand the summer heat. We are within two to three hours of all Los Angeles and San Diego have to offer and about eight hours to the Bay Area via Interstate.
