Here's a semi-detailed 2021 review for you! -
10/20/2021I haven't lived in Punta Gorda, so I'm not sure about every nook and cranny of the place, however I did visit for about a month during the winter and about another 2 weeks during the summer. From my experience, Punta Gorda was over all a really fun place to visit, the neighborhoods are quaint and the people are generally really friendly! Like other comments have stated, it is a retirement community full of old people, but what's not to like about old people. There are a few nearby convenient stores, and there's decent water access. The community is quite fun when it comes to local events, however it can get pretty boring with the lack of things to do entertainment wise. IT CAN GET VERY HOT DURING SUMMER!! and decently cold during the winter so bring any and all of your clothes! :)
