Could Be Better Could Be Worse -
5/13/2022Haverhill is a historic mill city. The overall vibe is working class. It has some charm throughout. It has some crime and pockets of low end, rundown areas but generally it is a decent city. Some highlights are its commuter rail, close proximity to Boston, to tax free NH, and to beaches. Housing prices are fairly decent when compared to other nearby cities like North Andover, Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Amesbury, Newburyport. It still falls short of being as quaint as some of those smaller towns but it could be a lot worse. Some downsides are noise levels (if close to major roads), congested traffic near downtown area, and the quality of some schools.
