2/7/2020Hi Barb! I've lived in Las Vegas for 53 years. I often think about moving to Mesquite, although I have never been there. I hear wonderful things about it. I was curious as to the available employment. Is it difficult to find employment there? We are really not ones to commute far distance so finding employment would be the deciding factor. My husband is retired US Army and is in maintenance. I'm telling you, the man can look or listen to anything mechanical and tell you within seconds what's wrong! I was a cocktail waitress for a while. Then managed a major grocery store in Vegas for 20 years. How is available employment in those areas? My email is below if you would like to respond that way. 2/7/2020Hi Allen! I'm sorry to hear that Vegas isn't agreeing with you and your wife. It's not for everyone, that's for sure! I've been here 53 years and I am ready to spread my wings and look for some greenery! I really just wanted to make a suggestion to your wife in regards to her nasal passage. Many people struggle with this when they come here. It can be uncomfortable. If she hasn't tried it already, there's a nasal spray, simply called saline solution, that brings relief to many newcomers. It can be purchased pretty much everywhere that carries over the counter meds. She can also put a little vaseline on a q-tip and coat the inside of her nose. I hope this can bring her some relief and I wish you adventure and happiness in your journey finding a forever place to plant your feet! Thank you for giving Vegas a try and I hope you leave with good memories!

2/7/2020THANK YOU BOB IN LAS VEGAS! Finally, someone sees it the way it is! We didn't have to worry about crime until we inherited California. In Cali they have a 3 strike law. So Vegas is getting all their people that are on their last strike. They move here and continue their criminal behavior. Not too mention causing our cost of living to go up, and our wages stay the same. As Bob said, we could leave our cars unlocked WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN! We could leave our houses unlocked. We could have our doors and windows open all day and get fresh air in the house. We could be in a parking lot after dark and not be afraid. Our kids could walk home from school and we didn't have to worry! Now you can't even look at someone without them thinking you want to brawl. Vegans have always been very welcoming to visitors and newbies. Tourist support most of us. Please come and visit. But not this time. Cali came here and disrespected everyone and everything about Vegas. Then they want to turn around and bitch about it. Go home! Please go home! Shoot each other on the beach and leave us alone. We don't want you!
